Friday Fav Five

As weeks go it has been a relatively good one. So I thought it would join in on a bit of recognition of some of the good things this week!

1. Tuesday I finished up and turned in a prayer shawl, it is always a wonderful sense of completion to tie off the last know and fold it up and add it to the pile.

2. Sushi and good friends. Just spending time with one of my besties and having fun learning something new was a hoot and we got to enjoy the final result over lunch. Click here to see the full post!

3. Wednesday morning I spent a lovely few moments out in my garden very early in the morning. The only time time to work in the garden down in the south is before 9:30 am or it’s just get to darn hot. Well I grabbed my picking basket and and gloves and headed out the the back yard and as I opened the door I realized that there was a very light morning shower going on. It was a wonderful peaceful few moments as I knelt in the garden gently picking green beans from the vine listening the the rain. It was wonderful feeling the cool droplets lightly hitting my back and arms.

4. With summer being in full swing I am watching the DD had off to all sorts of fun activities. Choir tour a few weeks ago, youth bible study on Wednesday evening and last night they went to Stone Mountain for the laser show. I think my favorite  things about this is just the sense of joy I get at watching her enjoy being with her friends and watching her come into herself. Her desire to be in a Christ centered environment is such a blessing to my heart.

Lastly 5. It isn’t summer until I have a few of these in my frig. The cucumbers are coming in y’all and every time I slice them up I think about my grandma!

It’s good every once and a while to stop and think of the simple things that make your week. I hope everyone is starting off there summer with some fun time and some cool breezes!

That shawl is stunning ... nice work! I've been working on a shawl for 1/2 a year. I needed some motivation. Thanks!

Many blessings!

What a special ministry to be part of (knitting prayer shawls).I have a friend who also does this. I think these shawls are appreciated very much.

My daughter makes sushi as well. I don't care for seaweed but it was fun spending time with her making some several months ago.

Watching our children mature and just do well in life is certainly a blessing, relief, and joy.

I am having fun and enjoying the morning cool breezes here in No CA.
Have a great week.
