By now I am sure that most of you think all I do all day long is sit and crochet…..I have been cranking them out over the course of the last few weeks, I will admit to that! I find a certain sense of peace in reparative processes. The nature of doing the same thing and getting the same results only different appeals to me. I will also confess I do enjoy standing back and looking at the finished product. Fortunately or regretfully, I have finished up with all the Mish Mash yarn for the time being. The final total was five shawls. There are still a few random balls of yarn left over but not nearly enough for a sixth piece. The remnants will have to wait for the next batch of leftovers to come my way! I am posting early this week because I feel certain that I will be otherwise occupied on Sunday with ….shall we say ….preparations… butt more on that later….. Well enough of that…let’s get to my week! Sunday, August 7 If the DD continues to get more and more beautiful I think the Hubs ...

It’s that time again! Prayer’s Requested Please!

Any momma who stands in the parking lot and watches the busses pull out with there baby on board know the feeling. It is a mixture of pride, love and a touch of anxiety. Even thought this is not the first time I have sent my DD off into the mission field, this is the farthest she has eve gone before with out her dad accompanying her. The group pulled out of the church parking lot at about 6:45 this morning headed for Costa Rica. The team numbered 30 total with about 16 of those members being the youth of our church! They have a blog set up if you would like to follow their activities. I don't know how often it will be updated but here is the link if you would like it! Costa Rica Mission Trip Blog 2011 Blessings R   Matthew 25 37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick...

Update on Katie

Y’all go over to Skoots1mom and check out the video she posted about her Great Niece Katie. Just yesterday I was looking at pictures of her sedated and struggling with a very serious post operative infection. Today she is sitting up in bed coloring and giggling with her mom and grandma. Last night in my accountability groups we talked about Yahweh Rophe – The Lord Who Heals. (we are working on the book “Praying the Names of God”) I find it no coincidence that as we have been praying over this precious little one and sking God to heal her, we would also find ourselves pondering on how great God is to heal the broken and the sick. Praise Jesus! Please continue to intercede on behalf of this miracle child that her road to recovery will continue to improve and that there will be no more complications.   Blessings Robin

Please Pray!!!

Please pray for Katie. She is struggling with some serious complications from her recent heart surgery. You may go here to see her Carepage or head over to My Hands, His Glory for more information as well. Blessings Robin

Please Pray!!!! The day is here! We are at the hospital

4:30 came very early this morning, but we are at the hospital. Please be in prayer for all the doctors, surgical nurses and staff who will be attending my DD today. The procedure (Posterior Spinal Fusion began about an hour ago (at about 8:30ish) they anticipate it taking about 4 to 6 hours. I will keep you updated when time permits. Blessings Robin

FREAKING OUT HERE!

I am not sure I even know where to start.  There are times when things run smoothly, like a well oiled time piece, the precision and the accuracy are a thing of beauty. The graceful sweeping motion of the second hand as it makes its revolution around the dial marking each minute one after the other.  There is comfort in the unchanging things like the passage of time the rising and the setting of the sun, the constants of life.  But what do you do when the constants of life seem to be out of sync? What do you do when life seems to be out of balance and you look around and you begin to wonder how things got so out of whack?  Then when one thing is out of whack you wake up the next morning only to find that the amount of wackiness has increased by an exponential rate and you are surrounded by overwhelming circumstances.  Overwhelming, even scary circumstances.  How do you overcome the fear?  You see the logical, faith grounded side of me knows exactly where the fear comes fr...
