Be Still and Know...Then and Now

I got four out of seven this week, I did some more Christmas shopping and I have a few more things to get and some stocking stuffers and then I will be done with my shopping. Yea for me! So lets get on with my week. No pictures on Sunday or Monday:( Tuesday, December 11 I was out in the backyard and I noticed that not only did I have some new leaf lettuce but I was super excited to see a very small head of lettuce in the works in my salad patch! I will be picking this very soon…the Hubs can’t wait. Wednesday, December 12 I broke out the heels for the Hubs office Christmas party. Thankfully it was a short party and I was not walking around in them for very long. Y’all I am not a Foo Foo girl. Many years ago we began the tradition of getting a Christmas ornament whenever we traveled to a new place, either on vacation or for just a fun short trip. I thought I would share a few shots of some of my favorite ornaments that we have acquired over the years. Happy P365 y’all! I put a good dent in my Christmas shopping this week so I am happy about that! I missed two day this week but all in all it was a good week! Sunday, December 2 I am not a lover of sewing but I do know how to make a repair on something if needed. The Girlchild was in need of a few alterations to an article of clothing. I asked her to bring me the pin cushion. After I had made all the necessary adjustments with the pins she was in charge of making the small corrections necessary. See how I delegated that less that pleasurable task to my offspring. The first ordered business long ago was to instruct the girlchild how to thread a needle so she could mend something if there should ever be a need. But I digress, after I had pinned her securely I looked down and noticed that the pin cushion was somehow a bit different from the last time I had seen it. God love my order craving little girl. Week 48! How did that happen? I only missed one day this week, not to bad I thought! Let’s get at it shall we…. Sunday, November 25 Who doesn't love a good Thanksgiving Dinner leftover sandwich. Well technically mine was not an authentic Thanksgiving sandwich since it was made with my left over Pork Loin Roast but I have to tell y'all it did the trick just the same. Now it feels like thanksgiving y’all! I did some cooking in my kitchen and I got my leftover sandwich! Monday, November 26 The Hubs put the tree up for me yesterday so it was a decorating day for me on Monday. I got the mantle done and a few other decorations placed around.     Tuesday, November 27 Every once and a while the dog will loose his mind and revert back to being a puppy. I thought I was going to have to worry about Muffinhead not begin able to keep her sweet little mitts off the tree….seems Buster took a liking to this ornament that Skoots1mom made for me last year. Merry Christmas! I just popped my ham in the oven and my house is nice a quiet after a whirl of family activity. The highlight of the morning was when I set the oven on fire making my sticky buns . Regretfully we were to focused on putting the fire out to get any pictures but I did however snap a few of the aftermath…needless to say Ina would be horrified at the end result. I am scratching my head trying to figure out exactly what went wrong with this recipe, it seemed fairly straight foreword however it was far from the wonderful sweet sticky puffy creation I watched her make on television………Y’all will just have to wait until next week for a full blow by blow account of the Epic Sticky Bun disaster but all is not lost and Christmas was not ruined. Looking back in the past week I will say that as weeks go it was a very nice week full of wonderful surprises.
