Project 365 ~ Week 38…Updated! Oooopppsss I forgot a day!

Image
Oh my goodness was it a week! The next time I decide to have a yard sale someone has my permission to come over to my house and physically restrain me until the thought has subsided! The lure of extra cash always seems like a good idea but when all is said and done I am not sure if the effort is worth the pay off. Lets just say that it has been a long full week and I am very tired and looking forward to a bit of a rest this coming week! Here's my week! Sunday, September16 It was spirit wear day at church! All the kids were encouraged to show their support for their school and their teams. The Girlchild was out of glitter but she did what they call “Paint Up” with some of my acrylics. The gold does show very well in the pictures but she did an alternating design with blue and gold handprints.   Monday, September 17 I was so wiped out I did not even thing to look in my secondary Kodak folder. The camera in my purse dup pictures into a different folder so I forgot I even took th...

Project 365 ~ Week 30: It was a productive week!

Some weeks ya got it and some weeks ya don’t! This week I had an unexpected boost of energy and several opportunities to put my creative juices to use.  Monday, July 23 Monday I canned a few tomatoes. I really did not have that many, however no one else in my family likes fresh tomatoes….I have wondered for a long time what is wrong with them! But I continue to love them any way regardless of this HUGE flaw in the taste buds! After struggling for several years trying to grow successful tomatoes for what ever reason this year I actually had some limited success. I only had enough tomatoes for four small jars but I have been wanting to try canning tomatoes for a long time and just never had enough to give it a go. It was a bit labor intensive for such a small amount but you work with what ya got sometimes! Tuesday, July 24 Are good friends the best or what! Skoots1mom scored these FREE chairs the other day in her daily thrifting rounds. YES I said FREE! They were being tossed ...

Project 365 ~ Week 1

Hey there y’all! It’s the first official week of the new year! The fact that day one of the new year actually lands on a Sunday fulfills some need in me to keep things in order. Now if I could just expand that need for order to the rest of my life I’d have it made…sadly I still lack the gene that enables me to stack my post concentrically or attend to the mail in a timely fashion. Goals I am planning to work on the year…… Sunday, January 1 Every year the church placed poinsettias in the sanctuary. The congregation has the opportunity to purchase the poinsettia in either memory of in honor of some. This year one of the members of the bible study I facilitate purchased a poinsettia for me. She told me to make sure I took it home with me on Christmas eve….did I remember….that would be a big no! I was fearful that by the time I did make it back over to the church it would have wilted or all the unclaimed Poinsettias would have been dispersed to the various hospital and nursing homes in ...

Project 365 ~ Week 37

Well I hope you all are having a wonderful Sunday. I for one spent a wonderful time in worship this morning. It was a bitter sweet moment of remembrance for where our nation was ten years ago, remembering how sad and awful that day was. I had mixed feelings of sadness as well as hope for how much things have changed over these last ten years. We all remember what we were doing ten years ago today! I am thankful that for today my activities included worshiping in peace and safety. Click here to read my previous September 11th remembrance. Here is my week! Sunday, September 4 It was Communion Sunday at church. On these Sundays the prayer shawl ministry places shawls on the alter for members to take to person’s they know who are struggling with difficult life issues. At the close of the service all the shawls except one had all been claimed. Monday, September 5 It was a good lazy Labor Day holiday. The weather was a bit uncooperative so I had to finish off my ribs in the oven and...
