Project 365 ~ Week 8

Hey there y’all!

Sunday, February 13

What’s the first thing one does after the hubs fixes the oven?

Make buttermilk biscuits…normally I do not cook on Sundays, but I made an exception to my rule. The Soup was a re-heat but I made the biscuits from scratch to give the newly repaired oven a test drive. Worked like a charm. Having an oven that works is a good thing….

The hubs called on his way home form work to announce that we’re going out to dinner, my choice…hmmmm….Mexican. There was a Combo #5 in my future and a Margarita. Gotta love a designated driver. It was good y’all and just the right thing on a valentines day too!

Before the food arrived I was casually aiming my camera at the DD, I managed to get off one candid shot before she asked “Did you just take my picture?” This of course was the fuel I needed to sufficiently harass for the next several moment. Sometime she wants to share her  with the world and other time she is down right paparazzi phobic in her attempts to shield herself from he lens of my camera.

Wow all your food looks GREAT. I would love to have Mexican for dinner tonight - but it's cold & drizzly & I think we'll just stay put. One of us MIGHT brave the elements to go get a pizza :)

Your pictures made me so hungry. Will you share that killer looking biscotti recipe? The buttermilk biscuits were to die for. I think I gained five pounds just looking...and I know I could smell them.

I'm happy for you and your working oven!!! I HATE for something in the kitchen to not be working properly! Makes life downright T-O-U-G-H! But goodness knows! You really got into the baking and the chocolate and the swirls this week, didn't you?!! ;)
