Three years, 528 post and counting…A Blogoversary Giveaway
Well it’s been three years today that I started blogging.
I went back and read my very first post and it was short and to the point.
I have just spent that last few minutes revisiting some of my older post. If you haven't done it in a while I encourage you to go back and spend a few minutes giving them a re-read. It really does give you a different perspective on where you were juxtaposed against where you are in the present.
Looking back I remember feeling like every post I did had to be heart felt or poignant or deeply spiritual. I still have my moments of profound spiritual recognition, my heartfelt cries of “woe is me” but over the course of these three years so much has happen and not much has happen. Life goes on and it changes every day.
My one regret is that I did not start this process sooner. How wonderful for all you young mom’s out there to have a chronicle of your lives as mom’s and to be able to look back and remember. I will say I am not sure if there was even such a thing as a blog back in the dark ages when my son was born, but then I am not sure I would have had the brain cells to form a complete sentence back then either.
Some of my favorite things about blogging are the glimpses it gives me into the lives of so many strong Christian brothers and sisters. We may not ever meet face to face but every time I read a post from one of my regulars I feel like we are having a conversation over a good cup of coffee. I love that about blogging. I love the shift in perspective I get when I am out and about in my day. It may be something completely inconsequential and unimportant but I will hear that tiny blogging whisper in the back of my head…there’s an idea for a post here!!!!
I don't think I can come up with a new recipe or cook anything with out sharing it on my blog or go out to eat with out taking picture of my dinner. Who knew blogging would lead to this new eating disorder, some folks binge and purge, I order and photograph.
I love coming to my blog each day to see what’s new, look for new post to show up in my blog roll, to find out what’s happening in South America, Texas, Arkansas, California, North Carolina etc… It is just amazing the window to the world a blog can open up!
Lastly I love the lines of communication it opens up. The possibilities for friendship, for encouragement, for being able to share my faith and God’s word from time to time, you just never when or how God will use a shared struggle or blessing in the lives of someone you don't even know!
If you are one of my regular readers I have to tell you that I appreciate your presence in my life more that words can express. I don't think there is a blogger alive who doesn't get a certain small feeling of connection when you log and and see that someone has left a comment. I love all of you and I thank you all for stopping by and giving me a visit. Y’all are just great!
Over the next few days I will be assembling a small giveaway package, it will contain some of my favorite things that I want to share with all of you.
Leave me a comment, enter as many time as you like!
I will link back to this post for the next couple of days and then next week I will select a winner. I feel certain that there will be a Starbucks card and some Jelly Beans, and to winner can even pick the flavor of jelly bean they want, not every one like licorice.
Starbucks, Jelly Beans what more could you ask for…well I’ll just have to see what I can come up with.
If you like give me a shout out on your blog about this giveaway and spread the word!
Who doesn't like a good blog giveaway!
Again y’all are the best!
Blessings

I remember how tentative I was when I penned my first posts. There were months that I knew no other bloggers; nor they me. How glad am I that I persisted; and you too!
Congrats,
Kathleen
I wish my mom had 'blogged' when I was growing up...I love to think about my future grandchildren reading this one day.
Whodathunk we'd end up with friends around the world?! Blogging is truly a wondrous thing :)
I am SOOOO looking forward to meeting you and Susan when we come on furlough this year! Not sure if we'll be visiting mission headquarters at the beginning, middle or end of our time in the U.S., but you can bet as soon as I know, I'll be in touch to plan a face-to-face meeting!
Mimi
Love reading your blog every chance I get.
