Thankful Thursday

I’m keeping it simple today and my small bit of thankfulness is that I have finally settled on what desert I will fix for my Sunday School social tomorrow night.

Given that my oven has been less than reliable these past few months I have opted to do a no bake desert. I found a recipe in one of my Paula Deen Cook books for a Strawberry trifle and it sound super yummy. So one decision down and now all I have to do is get my house ready. I have done some major clutter clean up today and all I have to do tomorrow of sweep and dust so I am in good shape.

I am thankful for peaceful non eventful Thursday's filled with the putting things where they belong, flipping through my cookbooks and folding laundry. I read a book once a long time ago about finding beauty and blessing in the simple things we do every day. Well my day was full of quiet, simple things and for that I am thankful!

 I am trying to come up with a basic set of question to facilitate a daily post. So maybe the first question should be: 1. What was/is the highlight of your day or week? This week I went to a funeral of one of the saints of our church.  A sweet, sweet woman who was dearly love by so many. As I sat and listened to the testimony of the woman's life I felt truly blessed that I had the privilege of knowing her.  It was a blessing to know that she is no longer suffering. Project 365 ~ Week 12 ~ It was a Muffinhead kinda week…..

Sunday, March 13   Monday, March 14 This is coming up in the herb garden. My sweet furry family member decided it was his greatest joy to pull almost all my plant labels out of the ground and use them for chew toys.  I think this is marjoram but I am not sure.
