Project 365-ish ~ Week 19

Well, I missed two days this week with no pictures. So Five out of seven is not to bad!

Sunday, May 2

OOOOPS! No Pictures!

Monday, May 3

I am not sure what the appeal is but I love to photograph the foliage of my flowers after a rain. I find the droplets on the green leaves to be so beautiful!

It just makes me smile!

Willy nilly silly old bear

This was about the only time she was still and quiet all morning long, except for nap time (Thank Jesus!) and yes grandma took a nap too!

She is a busy, busy girl. It is defiantly time for cabinet locks and socket plug protectors. “No!” was the word for the day!

Thursday, May 6

My small group met at my house on Thursday evening. Isn’t it wonderful to have a group of friends that you can use as guinea pigs. I have always want to make an angel food cake from scratch so I gave it a shot. I did have a store bought pound cake waiting in the wings in case I experienced an angel food cake disaster.

However I was very pleased with the results and I will defiantly be making this one again.

If you have never made one from scratch it is really word the extra effort. The texture and the flavor are  a thousand fold better than any store bought angel food cake I have ever had.

For a bit of tanginess I spread a light layer of lemon curd (store bought) in between two thin slices of angel food cake, then I served it with sliced strawberries macerated in sugar and topped with low fat cool whip with a few slices of Kiwi for an attractive garnish.

It was good y’all!

And the best part …it was totally fat free, well almost totally fat free, there is only one gram of fat in 1 tablespoon of lemon curd, not even enough to count in my book!

OOOOPPPPS! No Pictures again!

Saturday, May 8

The hubs is out of town on an extended business trip so it was frozen pizza for dinner, but I did offset it with a big ol’ heaping handful of fresh sliced red and green peppers.

Well that’s it for my week in pictures, such as it was!

Y’all head over to Sara’s for more of Project 365!

I will try to pop over in the morning as my laptop is still out of commission.

It is at the top of my to-do list this week to find a computer repair clinic that won’t cost me an arm and a leg just to look at it. Y’all pray that the fix will not be to expensive as the laptop is almost on the verge of being a relic and may not be worth the cost to repair it! And seeing as my money tree is a bit thin and there is no money in the budget for a new one just yet it may be “make due with the desk top until the computer fairy can save up enough cash to get a new one” time!

Blessings

I love how foliage looks after rain too :-)
Your food photos made me so hungry! LOL I'm making pizza for lunch, so that will satisfy at least one craving.
Babies are exhausting, aren't they? hahaha But totally worth it, to be a grandma from all I hear. I can hardly wait! But guess I'll have to since there are none on the horizon.
Have a wonderful week!

You've made me hungry! The angel food cake looks divine and what a great idea to throw a little extra onto a store bought pizza.

What a cutie that baby is! I'm looking forward to grandparenting in a few years. Love Winnie the Pooh too.

Yeah, that dessert looks beautiful!

Babys are tough when you are not used to the "full-timeness" of it all. So much fun though!

I think there should be a word of warning when post includes food fotos. "Do not read if hungry." "Beware.Tempting food." Maybe an F rating or such. ;)

Grandbaby, oh my, so adorable.
Mine, at 5 months loves to watch Baby Einstein.
