Gorgeous lilies!! I have some in my yard, but they are not bloomin yet. I live in Manitoba, Canada and everything is a month behind in the gardens here. Frustrating for gardeners. We just moved here and the neighbors told us we had orange day lilies in our yard. I can't wait! Hugs, ~cindy s~
BEAUTIFUL! Are those in your yard? I love flowers and have a hard time getting enough of them. I'd love to have something blooming year round! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Yes, being Grandmama is wonderful! Our 4 children all decided to have them all at once! I will actually have 7 that are 3 and under! They keep me very busy and happy! I keep 4 of them daily and will probably have the other 2 after they are born. I love it... it sure keeps me young and yes, there is more than enough love and pleasure to go around!
I didn't know that hummingbirds like the canna lilies. I'll have to put some in. My MIL next door has a hummingbird that comes to her feeder. We could make it even happier. Thanks for the tip.
I was mentally kicking and screaming as the sun came up on our last day. As condo's go, I have to share that being the spoiled woman that I am I found several deficits in my surroundings. Don't get me wrong, I loved our time at the beach, the place where I rest my head is a secondary issue. It was completely adequate, however, compared to some of the other places we have rested our head this was a bit lacking. The back deck, the furniture was very old and kinda dirty, so sitting outside was not an option. Enjoying my morning coffee as the sun came up was not something I wanted to do on rickety dirty plastic lawn furniture. The grill was a fire hazard, there was a dead tree right outside our back porch so it was a bit of an eyesore. The condo was also a townhome, that meant stairs leading up to the main living area and then stairs leading up to the bedrooms. The trips up and down the stairs were not the most conducive to the arthritis in my hips and knees. I managed to c...
Several weeks ago I was the lucky winner of a book giveaway from Mocha with Linda . Click here to read her post about this book! As I finished the book up the other day I began to think about the two women the story centers around. The story begins with two pen pals in elementary school and they continue with there friendship for many, many years through letters and emails, but they have never actually met, not until things change for the main character. Her life takes an unexpected turn and she finds herself face to face with her long time pen pal. I began to think of the similarities between the two women in the book and all of you, my fellow bloggers. As members of this unique internet community we enter into each other lives as we read each others posts, as we comment, share encouraging words or just a well needed giggle now and then. But what I enjoyed as I read this book was the depiction of the friendship these two women shared. They had been intimately involved...

Happy Outdoor Wednesday and may the Lord bless you...
XO,
Sheila :-)
Canna's actually do very well here in the heat of West Phoenix. They're among my favorites.
Isn't it wonderful that a mere picture of nature's beauty is so captivating?

Kathleen
