Project 365 ~ Week 45

Sunday, October 31

A few years ago they began to hold a Halloween party on the town square. This has been a wonderful alternative option for those who feel hindered by allowing there children to Trick or Treat in unfamiliar territory. The Halloween Festival on the Square is wonderful for children of all ages. They have inflatable's, lots of fun carnival games as well as all the familial hot dogs, pop corn and cotton candy and it is all free. The children all come in her costumes as well as a lots of grown-up children in their costumes too! There is a live band and balloons and face painting…the fun just goes on and on and on.

Well we met Muffinhead, mom and dad over at the square and had a good ol’ time chasing after balloons and filling up her trick or treat bag.

I think Bumble Bee’s were a reoccurring theme as we ran into several fellow bumble bee’s

I don’t know who this little guy is, but his sweet little face just captured my hear and mom let me snap off a picture of those precious blue eyes. I’d call that a true puppy dog face wouldn't you?

I couldn't grow a tomato this past summer to save my life. However my green peppers and Jalapenos have just given me a bumper crop this year. They are still producing by the basket full.

I would have loved to have been a bug in the grass to get Mr. Buster’s reaction to the new chew toy he plucked off my Jalapeño plant and tossed around the yard for fun. Fun that is until I found it half chewed up and spit out laying in he grass.

Some Prayer Shawls are a comfort and a blessing to work on, this last one I turned in fell affectingly under the category of the ever faithful “swear shawl” as it plagued me for what seemed like fever. Needless to say I will not be recommend this patter to anyone. I have even contemplated removing it from out coffers to further ensure that no one else has to suffer the ill effect of this pattern. NO FUN was an understatement and words like FOREVER and NEVERENDING seemed to fill my mind as I trudged on with each stitch.

My final words on this particular Prayer swear Shawl are NEVER AGAIN and THANK YOU JESUS that it is finished!

It’s that time again, well not really, but it will be in July. The Youth of our church are gearing up to head to the mission field with Hands and Feet Ministries. This is the same organization that my daughter and husband have been working with for many years now. My daughter is so excited that the youth will be going as a group this year that she is just about beside herself. The structure for this year is going to be a bit different. We are having to get out our first round of fundraising letters very early as the first initial depot is due on November 30.

So before the first letter can get mailed I had to make a trip to Office Dept for all the supplies to the tune of $$$. One day someone will explain to me why printer cartridges have to be so blasted expensive.

With the cooler weather there is something so wonderfully comforting about a nice warm bowl of soup for supper. I had a few containers of mushrooms hanging out in my refrigerator as well as a some bacon and a pinch of this and a dash of that and we had Cream of Mushroom Soup with homemade croutons and a tossed salad for diner.

It was really good y’all!

OK, so I'll take the blue shawl and the bowl of soup. Great combos for Fall!

That soup looks so yummy! It's just that it was in the 90s and still hot (I have two fans trained on me as I type) but soup will sound mighty good when we get to the "frozen north" in a few days :)

The town party sounds like a lot of fun!

We can't buy the cartridges we need for our printer here, but we found a guy who refills them for us. A LOT cheaper!

Have a wonderful week!

Oh goodness I'd like to have seen Buster's reaction too. LOL. Poor puppy.

Love the swear shawl! They would all be swear shawls if I were trying to make them...

The bumblebees are adorable, and the little lion photo is great. This year my youngest grandson Zion, was a Lion. Our daughter's first Halloween (ove 35 + years ago) I made her a lion mask from a paper bag. It was cute, but she was scared of herself!

We have a place in nearby Muncie where we can get the cartridges filled for less $.

That was a lot of monotonous knitting! I stick with small projects.

Ewwww, I guess I'd spit that pepper out right fast, too!! Not the best choice for a plaything.

I'm sorry that shawl was such a problem. It certainly turned OUT gorgeous, though!! (For what it's worth...)

I've been avoiding a much-needed printer cartridge purchase myself. Ugh.
