Apparently I don’t know anything….

We are getting ready for church and I step into the DD bathroom to use her flat iron, hers is of course better than mine. She is helping me with the last few strands in the back to make sure I will not embarrass her to terribly with unfinished hair when her phone vibrates.

It’s 7:30 AM, I’m thinking exactly who is she texting with at this hour and on a Sunday morning no doubt.

Me being the mom and all I ask “Who was that?”

“Oh that was so and so, I asked her if I could borrow a pair of her footie socks, I’m wearing my flats to church.”

With a tile of my head I respond “I just bought you a brand new pack of trouser socks!”

“Mom! You can’t wear THOSE kind of sock with flats!”

I stand corrected, while I am wearing my black trouser socks whilst wearing my flats I might add apparently the whole concept behind wearing skinny straight leg jeans and flats is so that the top of your foot shows…who knew apparently not me.

It boggles the mind…..

Project 365 ~ Week 9: Scrambled Eggs, Muffinhead and a Touch of Spring

Hey guy’s. Can you feel it?

Spring is in the air, I am just praying that we will not have another cold snap and all the new growth that is appearing in my yard will survive this early touch of warm weather.

Sunday, February 20

I took a Sabbath rest as well as not taking any pictures.

Monday, February 21

With all the snow several weeks ago the normal holiday of president Day was also a snow make up day so the girl child had to go to school. The hubs on the other hand had the morning off. Regretfully he also had a mid morning flight scheduled so to celebrate having a morning of just husband wife time I wiped us up a proper breakfast.

IMG_4970

This is what I like to call Eggs Benedict Sothern style.

No pictures on Tuesday, February 22…bummer

Wednesday, February 23

Muffinhead and family came to dinner at church. I got to sit with my man-child, his significant other and granddaughter and enjoy Ham and Mac and Cheese.

IMG_4977

After dinner Muffinhead went to visit skoots1mom at our prayer shawl meeting room.

IMG_4990

She had a high ol’ time rearranging all the folding chairs to her liking.

Thursday, February 24

I went outside to take the recycling to the curb and had to go back in and grab the camera. The sky was full of movement and color as the sun went down on Thursday evening.

Friday, February 25

Y’all I can’t tell ya how wonderful it is to see all the tiny little green shoots poking their heads out of the ground. The lilies are coming up and the purple crocus are blooming, I had forgotten that I had even planted them last year.

IMG_5013

The cherry tree is beginning to bud out!

IMG_5016IMG_5015

The amazing thing about this parsley is that it has survived the winter. It has been covered under inches of snow twice, endured a winters frost and now it is still nice and green. I keep snipping off of it and it just kept on growing….God is so cool how He orchestrates stuff!

IMG_5012

Saturday, February 26

We got another visit from Muffinhead. My son needed a bit of car maintenance advice from dear old dad so they spent a few minutes in the driveway fixing whatever it was that was broken and I got to play with my sweetie. After grandpa got washed up he had some time with her as well!

IMG_5044

Y’all I have to admit, my favorite piece of chicken to eat…it’s the wing. A couple of weeks ago I was the the grocery story and saw my four favorite words “Reduced for Quick Sale” stamped across the chicken wings and chicken drummies. I thawed out a tray of each and we had BBQ chicken for dinner on Saturday night. I put them on to marinate in some Jerk sauce and then gave them a good coating of BBQ sauce in the oven.

It was real good.

IMG_5056

Well that’s it for me this week.

to shop or not to shop…

IMG_5048IMG_5049

There is a brand new Kroger just a few blocks from my house. I have never done much shopping at Kroger, being the rather spend thrift that I am I have found them to be a bit on the pricy side for me on certain things. They had there grand opening this weekend and I think that everyone in our city showed up to do their grocery shopping.

The problem for me will not be the question of to shop or not to shop…it will be to shop or not shop with out first stopping to buy a Starbucks. Will the allure of the Venti Low Fat Ice Coffee with a shot of classic syrup draw me away for my ever faithful Ingles just a few more miles down the road.

IMG_5050

The had an amazing floral section and the produce department was incredible. I did notice that some of the items I usually purchase were a bit more expensive, bananas at Ingles are always 49 cents a pound and they had them for 59 cents a pound. I purchased a few Kroger brand products to give myself a comparison to the ones I usually buy at Ingles so we will see how they stack up.

IMG_5051

The bakery department had a nifty bread slicer which of course I had to try so there is a loaf of sourdough bread on my counter. I also have a bag of Blood Oranges, I have never seen them in the Ingles so I snagged a bag. The is a huge section of International food items as well as a massive cheese and wine section.

If I ever have a massive small kitchen appliance failure in the middle of the night well since this Kroger is open 24 hours a day I can run up to the store at three AM should I so choose and purchase a new Kitchenaid stand mixer, Cuisenart blender, or any size baking pan know to man.

I will say that these signs in the parking lot are brilliant!

How many times do I get in the story and then remember that my shopping bags are still in the back of the van.

 IMG_5054IMG_5053

I was a bit overwhelmed with the size of the store as well as the million or so folks who were there, but it is a beautiful store and I will be heading back when there aren't so many people.

Let’s go Krogering……

Thanks again for stopping by and for being a part of the blogging community.

Now on to my Flashback Friday, it’s all about the choppers.

But first I just could not resist. When I think of horrific dental experiences well the first thing that came to mind was this!  Y’all ever see this movie? Being the lover of all things musical this slightly odd and bizarre bit of musical entertainment is not for everyone but I have to admit it makes me giggle every time I watch it!

I don't have much to add about many of the prompting questions but I do have one very fond memory of a dear friend.

Do you have any fond/funny//traumatic memories of old relatives or friends and their false teeth?

Several months ago one of my sweet Stephen Ministry friends passed away. He was a wonderful older gentleman who I had know since 1998. That was the first year we began Stephen Ministry at our church. We had 12 trainees to begin, not a coincidence I thought when you factor in the significance of the number 12, 12 disciple/12 new trainees…it made sense in a weird Holy Spirit directed kind of way.

In the very beginning with our numbers begin so small as well as our budget we did the best we could when it came down to team building exercises and retreat experiences. To get in the 50 hours of necessary training in a timely fashion we always had an extended session which usually would be held on some kind of retreat setting. The very first retreat we had a non existent shoe string budget. We camped out on the bottom floor of our church in the youth wing, the guys had the Sunday school classrooms on one end of the hall and the girls had the other end of the hall and we met in the youth lounge for our group sessions and fellowship time. Despite our rather rustic and spartan environment we managed to have a wonderful time.

After our official training session had ended we all gathered for an evening of fun and games. We pooled our resources so our snack table was overflowing with a wide assortment of salty and sweet treats. As the evening progressed those with the weaker constitution gave way to their need for sleep and hit their air mattress’ at their respective end of the hall.

Several of us remained round a table playing spoons.

Having lived a deprive life up until that point I can say that I had never played spoons before. To be perfectly honest I am not sue if I have ever played since, but I found the whole game fascinating. The concept of trying to snatch the spoon off the table before anyone else seem to be a skill that I simply could not master. Let’s just say I was the weak link where successful spoon playing was concerned. I will end my tooth story here for a bit to flesh out the dental tale just a bit further.

Any way we were a tight group in the very beginning. Aside from our regular fellowship opportunities we also had to gather twice a month for the required Stephan Ministry supervision. This is an opportunity to meet the needs of the care giver in the situation. The specific are never discussed, Stephen Ministry is completely confidential however during supervision we get to discuss any problems we may be having or feelings that we may be experiencing ourselves during the care giving process. I guess I share this to say that after many many, many years we had all come to know each other very well.

When my friend passed away, we were of course expecting it. His health had been poor for some time, but when I heard the news it just washed over me. Several of us began to weep during worship after our pastor shared the news with us. The funeral was schedule for later that afternoon and as a group we all decide that if possible we wanted to have as many of the original class in attendance as possible. As we were standing around crying and sharing our our memoires of our dear friend I leaned over to one of my oldest and dearest friends and said “You remember the time that….” and we all just burst into laughter as we wiped our tears away.

It makes me smile just thinking about it.

So there we are all sitting around the table playing spoons. One person kick off their shoes “Wow that feels good”

I return in my comfy fleecy sweats, “It’s good to get comfortable!”

Contact lenses came out and glasses were brought out, belt were loosened. We were getting comfortable.

Jim looks at all of us in our various stage of comfort and says with a big grin on his face “I got you all beat” and he pops his false teeth out and lays them down on the table.

We all about fell over right then and there in hysterics, but that was just our Jim.

God love him!

I miss him dearly, but when I read the prompt I just had to share my sweet memory of him.

and have a great weekend!

Chocolate Citrus Biscotti

IMG_4966

I had some requests for the Biscotti recipe from last weeks Project 365. The recipe I used is one I found online from Giada De Laurentiis.

I made a few revisions. Out of necessity I doubled up on the orange zest, I did not have any lemons in the frig, it gave the biscotti and very nice orange flavor that complemented the chocolate very well. I also did not have any fine yellow corn meal so I substituted with my white corn meal corn bread mix I had in the pantry to no ill effect as far as I was concerned. I also added about three heaping tablespoons of cocoa powder to the actual cookie batter. I wanted it to be a double chocolate biscotti not just dipped in chocolate. I use a mixture of bitter sweet chocolate chips as well as milk chocolate chips. I like to combine the two for a more well rounded chocolate flavor, not to mention that the milk chocolate melts very nicely when it it is dipped into a nice hot cup of coffee.

Prep Time:
15 min
Inactive Prep Time:
10 min
Cook Time:
1 hr 10 min
Level:
Easy
Serves:
3 dozen (cook’s note: my batch only yielded about 2 dozen)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup fine yellow cornmeal
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 3/4 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

Directions

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.

Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Stir the flour, cornmeal, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Using an electric mixer, beat the eggs and sugar in another large bowl until pale yellow and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add the orange and lemon zests to the dry ingredients. Add the flour mixture to the eggs and sugar and beat just until blended (the dough will be soft and sticky). Let stand for 5 minutes.

(Cook’s note: I ended up adding the juice of one orange to my cookie batter, I thick the substitution of the corn meal mix made the batter very dry and the recipe said the batter was supposed to be soft and sticky and mine was a bit on the dry side so I added the orange juice, maybe a few tablespoons. After that was incorporated the cookie batter was nice and soft and sticky)

Using a rubber spatula, transfer the dough to the prepared baking sheet, forming two mounds spaced evenly apart. Moisten your hands with water and shape the dough into two 11 by 4-inch logs. Bake until lightly brown, about 35 minutes. Cool the logs for 5 minutes. Using a serrated knife, cut the logs crosswise into 1/2-inch-thick diagonal slices. Arrange the biscotti cut side down on the same baking sheet. Bake until the biscotti are pale and golden, about 25 minutes. Cool the biscotti on the baking sheet for 5 minutes. Using a metal spatula, transfer the biscotti to a rack and cool completely.

Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave, stirring every 20 seconds, about 1 1/2 minutes total. Dip 1 cut side of each biscotti into the melted chocolate. Gently shake off the excess chocolate. Place the biscotti, chocolate side up, on the baking sheet. Refrigerate until the chocolate is firm, about 35 minutes.

Dip a pastry brush in the cocoa, then lightly brush the cocoa over the chocolate on each biscotti. (Cook’s Note: I used my small strainer and lightly dusted the cocoa over the biscotti rather than brushed it on.)

The biscotti can be made ahead. Store them in an airtight container up to 4 days, or wrap them in foil and freeze in resealable plastic bags up to 3 weeks.

IMG_4969

All in all I would give this recipe a good rating. I am thinking of reducing down the cooking time on the second round in the oven to maybe 15 minutes. They did come out very hard. I know Biscotti are supposed to be very crunchy but these were extremely firm. They had very good flavor, not to sweet and the orange flavor came through as well as a notice chocolate flavor and the addition of the corn meal gave the cookie a very nice crunch in the mix.

Well I will be posting either later today the winner of my giveaway or tomorrow so If ya feel lucky and get it in under the wire you still have a bit of time to enter the giveaway! Click here to enter.

Project 365 ~ Week 8

Hey there y’all!

Sunday, February 13

What’s the first thing one does after the hubs fixes the oven?

IMG_4924

Make buttermilk biscuits…normally I do not cook on Sundays, but I made an exception to my rule. The Soup was a re-heat but I made the biscuits from scratch to give the newly repaired oven a test drive. Worked like a charm. Having an oven that works is a good thing….

IMG_4925

Monday, February 14

The hubs called on his way home form work to announce that we’re going out to dinner, my choice…hmmmm….Mexican. There was a Combo #5 in my future and a Margarita. Gotta love a designated driver. It was good y’all and just the right thing on a valentines day too!

 IMG_4935 IMG_4936

Before the food arrived I was casually aiming my camera at the DD, I managed to get off one candid shot before she asked “Did you just take my picture?” This of course was the fuel I needed to sufficiently harass for the next several moment. Sometime she wants to share her  with the world and other time she is down right paparazzi phobic in her attempts to shield herself from he lens of my camera.

IMG_4942IMG_4948IMG_4955

Tuesday, February 15

Oh YES they did! Hershey’s Syrup Dark Chocolate…send the afternoon latte right over the top! How are we liking the professional swirl action going on with that foam!!!!!

Since my oven was working….Ever made Biscotti??

IMG_4965

Chocolate & Orange Biscotti…they were very good. You can bet I will be making these again!

Flashback Friday~ Do you know how fast you were going?

Wow, it’s been a while since I did a Flashback Friday, but since I am trying to post every day this week I thought I would join in on the fun!

Thinking primarily of your growing-up years and your early years of driving, have you ever been in an auto accident?

When I was very young but officially out on my own I was on my way to work one morning and as I was pulling through an intersection a young man (teenager) who was late for school went blowing through the four way stop and clipped me on the front of my car. Thankfully it was not a T-Bone situation. My car spun around a few times and I was thrown about a bit in the car. My car at the time was my 1962 Ford Fairlaine so it did not have a shoulder strap on the seat belt. I was thrown sideways and I hit the dash a bit and whacked my head pretty good on the steering wheel, but other wise was unhurt. My car was a bit dinged up but given the solid steel construction of those cars it was like driving around in a tank so I was fairly safe.

Thankfully since it was the other persons fault for falling to stop at the four way stop I am sure he receive a ticket.

Have you ever received a traffic ticket?

If memory serves I have receive maybe two traffic tickets over the course of my driving career. One when I was in my early thirties and then another one several years are. Oddly enough both instance my son was in the car with me. The first time he was a toddler. He was a rather rambunctious young thing full of energy. He is also is lot like his dad in the respect that there are very few mechanical devices that he could not figure out or take apart even as a toddler. One of the objects that he learned very quickly was the release button on the buckle on the the car seat. He use to get multiple scolding's about getting out of his car seat while on route.

How many times did I have to pull over and get him securely back in his car seat?

It did not take him long to learn that there was certain pain and suffering involved in getting out of his car seat. I had finally trained him to not unbuckle his car seat until we got home and I had pulled into the driveway and the car had come to a compete stop.

Coming to a complete stop is the key phrase you need to remember.

It was just before Christmas and I was so overjoyed at having just finished up the last of my shopping that I was not paying a bit of attention to how fast I was going. Before I knew it there was a nifty blue light in my rearview mirror. I don't even remember who many miles over the speed limit I was going, but what I do remember was the minute I pulled over and brought the car to a complete stop this triggered the signal to my son that it was now time to get out of his car seat. By the time the office got up to my car I was leaning around yelling at my son to get back in his car seat all the while trying to explain to the officer that no I was not driving around with a toddler wander around in the back of my van.

What role, if any, did seat belts and car seats have in your early years?

Seat belts have always been a way of life for me. My children all had car seat and wearing your seat belt was never an option.

I do have some very vivid memories of visiting my grandparent when I was a very young child. If memory serves this was back before seat belts were required in cars. I don’t remember what kind of car my grandmother had but I do remember the instructions she gave me every time we went anywhere in the car. She would slide in behind the wheel and then she would tell me to get into the car and I would get wedged between her shoulder and the seat and she would hold me in place with the top of her forearm. I guess she thought that if we were in an accident that she would be able to shield me by holding her arm in front of me.

She was trying to protect me with her own body while driving the car. I am not sure how she did it but she did. Isn’t it amazing the things you remember.

Well I haven't don a Flashback Friday in  long time. If you want to link up y’all head over to Mocha with Linda for more Flashback fun.

A day off for Be Still and Know…it started with a GaGa or maybe I should say Gag Gag

For as much as I love Wednesdays with my morning bible study, lunch with Skoots1mom and then dinner at church and prayer shawl after dinner I love my Thursdays morning as well. Most of the time I don’t have to be anywhere so I don't set my alarm. I laze around in my pj’s a little longer and I linger over my coffee just a bit more than normal. The activities that are typical for a Thursday mornings are reading, watching a saved chick flick on the DVR or maybe working on my painting for a bit, sometimes I try a new recipe. I just sortta let the day unfold and wander into things as I feel led.

This morning I had an extra treat as the Hubs had a service call at a local business so he joined me in an extra cup. While we were enjoying our coffee we turned on the morning news. Old habits are had to break, for a very long time we have been loyal watchers of Good Morning America. I am trying to wean  us off to a morning news show with a bit more substance in their reporting but sometimes making a change in your daily routine is a bit difficult. We all fall into habits that we just do with out thinking. The hubs flipped on he news and there she was Lady GaGa, (follow the link to see a picture and watch a video clip) Now I don't think there is a more musically challenged person on the planet than me. Don’t get me wrong I love listening to music, I appreciate music, but I can honesty say that the desired sounds wafting through the air around me is silence or the breeze blowing through my windows and the birds having conversation.

I will also say that in my younger a more artistic days I probably would have been the first in line for GaGa tickets, however being the decrepit old woman I am now I no longer have the capacity to be objective.

She was giving an interview about a new campaign she is trying to promote. It’s all about safe sex and preventing HIV and in honor of this cause she explained that she had chosen her outfit to reflect a latex condom. Well I’m looking at her and I notice like you could miss it that she had enough eyeliner on to make a raccoon jealous and there are some prosthetic edge like protrusions highlighting her cheek bones, her outfit is made out of some kind of skin colored shiny latex looking material and her hat looks like a giant plastic flour tortilla that had seen better days.

Honestly I did not hear a word she said due to my being distracted by her appearance.

I did hear one thing she said, she made a comment that her new lipstick is a taupe color, “It’s hard to find the right color taupe!” she said!

WOW! I am so glad that Lady GaGa has this lipstick crisis in hand and I no longer have to worry about searching the planet for the exact right shade of taupe lip stick.

I will say that fighting Aids and preventing sexually transmitted diseases is an important topic of conversation. The DD and I have been having the conversation for some time about the illusion of safe sex, there is no “safe sex” except for “no sex”.

As I moved on to other things in my day I kept thinking about her message. I am not sure that dressing like a condom and looking like a raccoon out of a science fiction movie is the best way to get the message across, but then I’m just old and decrepit!

It gives me pause to think that there are millions of young people who are looking to Lady GaGa as a role model and this give me great reason for concern.

Let’s just hope her 15 minutes are over soon!

Blessings y’all!

A Potager…Who knew…apparently not me…

Yesterday as the day unfolded I was in the midst of some channel surfing. Being the tight wad that I am I refuse to pay for the premium movie channels the cable & satellite companies offer. However I do get gleefully excited when they from time to time offer those free preview weekends. I am not sure what prompted this lasted bit of generosity but our satellite provider is now providing us with the Starz channel free for one year. I’m sure it will be us to us to cancel at the end of the year but until then the movie hound in me is very happy.

Yesterday I watched part of the the movie “It’s Complicated” now I don’t recommend this movie because entire plot is about the infidelity of the two main characters. However there is one scene that has sparked my imagination.

There is a scene between the two main characters that takes place in this amazing garden. I was so captivated by this garden that I was no longer paying attention to what was happening in the movie. After the movie was over I could not stop thinking about this amazing beautiful space.

After several minutes of Google-ing I was able to determine that this type of garden is called a Potager.

A potager garden is the French counterpart to the English kitchen garden, but with an emphasis on growing vegetables. Y’all I had a French garden in my back yard and didn’t even know it…I feel so cultured now!

Here is an article on how to design and plant one in our own back yard. I will be giving this article some consideration in the days to come as I am thinking about my own spring garden.

However what struck me about the garden in this movie was how perfect and beautiful it was. It seemed almost unreal in it’s perfection. I however was not the only gardener to wonder about this phenomenon of perfection. As I did my Google search I found multiple articles out there all wondering the same thing, critical even that it was too perfect.

photo credit:  Melinda Sue Gordon, Universal Studios

I feel so much better after having read this small article about how they achieve all this magnificent perfection.

“Great piece from the LA Times on Meryl Streep's character's garden in "It's Complicated." Director Nancy Meyers is known for her real-estate-porn-for-middle-aged-women approach to set design (remember Diane Keaton's house in "Something's Gotta Give"?)  Well, she took the same approach to this character's Santa Barbara garden, an abundant potager that magically blends warm and cool-season crops.

From the film's production designer:

The vegetables were grown in a greenhouse for two months before the  garden scene was shot, and any plant that looked a little scrubby was not used.

There was also a little enhancement. "I probably shouldn't tell you this," Hutman said, guiltily, "but those tomatoes were wired to the vine."

It was beautiful to look at, wonderful to dream even of one having something like it…but reality, hot house plants and wired tomatoes.

Thank you Hollywood!

One day I dream of having a garden that looks like this…

But for now I will settle for my little patch of raised dirt in my back yard.

.IMG_3710

Well now my head is all full of spring expectation. I am itching to get my fingers in the dirt and having some green in the back yard again.

But ya know it will be here before ya know it.

Isaiah 61:11

11 For as the soil makes the sprout come up
and a garden causes seeds to grow,
so the Sovereign LORD will make righteousness and praise
   spring up before all nations.

Well I just wanted to share this small bit of greenness with all of y’all this morning.

I also thought that in honor of my anniversary week I am going to try to post something every day. I don't know that I have ever gotten a post up every day for a week…well see how it all plays out.

And don't forget that if you want to toss your hat in the ring for my blog-o-versary giveaway just click on the link!

Just between you and me…a whisk broom..no I mean hair cut…

So you wanted to see the DD’s whisk boom new hair cut!

Saturday I took the DD to get her hair trimmed. She informed that she wanted to get layers in her hair.  I was not entirely sure exactly what that meant however it was clear as I watched the stylist hack away at the lower ends of her hair that my idea of layers and her idea of layers were two entirely different things.

I was getting my hair trimmed, being the ancient decrepit and obviously fashion challenged mom type person that I am I opted for the non-whisk broom treatment. Just an inch off the bottom all the way around please! I was in the chair opposite from her and I was working with an extreme deficit that I had to remove my glasses while the woman worked to trim my hair so I thought possibly I was imagining things.

IMG_4934

Am I dreaming or couldn't we just attach a handle and give the kitchen floor the once over.

IMG_4932

I have now officially moved from the sort of old column into the really old column because now I have no understanding of what looks good any more. I feel like June Cleaver or Marion Cunningham…next I’ll be wearing pearls, pin curls, an apron and vacuuming in my heels!

Being the total professional that I am, in  seasoned mom sort of way, I keep my face as passive as possible as I am handing over the debit card silently thinking “Did I really just pay to have this done to my child's head? Why yes I did!”

“Are you happy with your hair”” I ask.

She smiles and says enthusiastically “I really like it Mom, Thanks!” At least she said thank you!

IMG_4931

Hmmmm. She really likes it she said. Well at least she is happy with it and I have kept my mouth shut.

I’m just saying….

Edit: After I hit the post button a few moment ago I realized that I need to clarify a few points. With my experience dealing with a rebellious son I am well acquainted with the concept of recognizing exactly which things are important and which thing to simply let go of. A hair cut is so not a issue to draw a line in the sand over! I am thrilled that the DD is happy with her hair and I am very thankful that I was able to have the financial means to provide her with the small frill of a new do. I for on was never that fortunate when I was her age. I do enjoy seeing her take pleaser in the rights of being a young woman, the mascara, the cloths, the spending hours getting ready to go anywhere, I mean even to go out to walk the dog. For me it is such a unique perspective that she even wants to share with me and talk with me given the experience I had with my own son. It is all new territory for me. Also speaking as one who is so totally opposite from the frilly girly girl I just find all this new awareness of her girl-ness so very interesting. I love watching it and I love watching her change into the wonderful young woman that I know she is turning into.

So with that being said I still think her hair looks a bit funny but ya know it’s her hair and she is a teenager. I am just thankful that she and I have the relationship we have and that the lines of communication are open.

Thank you Jesus
