Project 365 – Week 51

This week was jammed pack with activity but most of it went undocumented.

No pictures on Sunday – December 12

Sunday afternoon we found ourselves at two musical events. The first was the Christmas Canteen at the Aurora Theater. It was a very good Christmas Musical Review. We walked out the door after the show to below freezing temperatures and had a spare few minutes before having to go to the church for rehearsals for the DD Christmas Choir concert. All in all I spent a total of three and a half hours listening to some form of Christmas music. I am not sure what my musical threshold is but I think I may have reached it by the end of the night.

Monday – December 13

Just a bit of Christmas cheer! Here is a picture of the tree and mantle.

No pictures on Friday – December 17…

Saturday – December 18

More evidence of Buster’s tortured existence, and the hubs doesn't  have it that bad either! Isn’t that what cold rainy Saturday afternoons are for?

Well I got all my shopping finished up almost. The hubs and I were heading out the door on Friday for his company Christmas party, yea no picture from that either, but it is one of those requirements that you really don feel like documenting. The food was awesome…that is the best thing I can say about the whole evening, anyway as we were heading out I realized that I had totally forgotten to pick up something for Muffinhead stocking. So I will be heading back out next week to pick up a few toddler friendly things for the her. Isn’t that part of the whole Christmas experience, the last minute thing you forgot?

I have the menu planned and some of the grocery shopping done. Next week I will be baking cookies and getting ready for the big day. This year we get to stay home and I can’t tell ya how much I am looking forward to a peaceful Christmas day that does not include sitting in the car for several hours. Not my idea of a fun way to spend Christmas Day!

God is good and I get to enjoy Christmas in my own home.

Well that’s it for me this week.

So much for getting my post done early this week.

For more Project 365 y’all head over to Sara's and link up.

The year is almost over and we will be into 2011 and a whole new round of weekly sharing.

Merry Christmas

Boy, your tree & mantle are gorgeous! And so is your daughter - you guys are in TROUBLE when she gets older... cute tortured puppy. If only I could be tortured that way...

Can I trade places with Buster? LOL
Love the tree and mantle! DD just keeps getting cuter; this shot is adorable! I know what you mean about work-related parties. Endurance, sista', endurance :) Glad the food is good at least. So happy you can stay home this year. We'll arrive home Christmas Day -- hopefully. Praying for good weather and good connections on all our flights.

Have a WONDERFUL Christmas!
